The ultimate goal of our work is to improve the clinical care of patients. We have placed a special emphasis on translating the work in our research laboratory into tangible outcomes for patients, namely by identifying gaps in current diagnostic procedures, filling shortcomings in national clinical care guidelines, and addressing clinical gaps that lead to a lack of insurance coverage for modern genetics care.
